with love from me to you ~

“The proper definition of a man is an animal that writes letters.”
― Lewis Carroll

I remember always wanting my own mail. Letters would come to the house for my parents but I always wanted one to come for me. I can’t remember what my first ever letter was. But I do remember getting postcards from my friend in high school. She went to Paris on a vacation with her family over the summer. She sent me a postcard she got from the Louvre with the ‘Winged Victory of Samothrace’ on the front. I loved that statue so much, seeing that little card in the mail with a message from my friend was so special. It meant so much to me.

I love the idea of a postcard and its duality. It can be a keepsake for you or a message to someone else. I like that it makes you consider what you might want to say to someone.
