‘…everything

an echo, everything

alight with emptiness’ – Jan Zwicky

I am currently focused on studying the form and colour of a winter beach. I love the particular atmosphere. In the winter the bareness makes everything feel so fresh. The snow and ice make the land look clean and glittering. There is more texture, there is more intensity between the relationship of land, water and sky. It’s more challenging to spend time on a winter beach, but also more rewarding. You can’t interact with the water so you are forced to only observe it.
