New Alchemy Drafts
a monthly poetry dispatch
New Alchemy Drafts is a year-long poetic project delivered by mail.
Over twelve months, you will receive twelve poems— each aligned with a central theme that runs through my visual practice. Together, they form a kind of compass for the year: a cycle of attention, transformation, and return.
This project is the poetic mythology of the work: the stories, symbols, the metaphysics and questions that sit beneath the artworks and objects. The poems explore twelve recurring themes that shape my studio practice:
unravel, poetics, cosmic egg, liminal shore, rain, eternal garden, ecosystems, leave no trace, devotion, belonging, new alchemy, rebirth.
Each dispatch is an unfolding rather than a finished statement. The poems arrive as drafts in motion, written in real time, shaped by process, season, and lived attention.
Subscribers can expect:
-
One original poem each month
-
A printed dispatch sent by post
By the end of the year, the twelve poems will form a complete cycle, and potentially the foundation for future projects that braid together language, art, and myth.
This project is for readers who value slowness, ritual, and language as a door to a liminal world.
